A new world of Dance Photography while Navigating through Covid

There is no doubt that COVID-19 has impacted all of our lives over the past year and a half. In my world of photography, everything shifted, and it definitely forced me to think outside of the box. To ensure safety and abide by local restrictions, we weren’t able to do things as we always had. And I watched as many of my clients experienced changes in their own lives, too.

For one of my biggest groups of clients — dancers — the world was turned upside down. It was incredibly sad to hear about how their long-awaiting recitals, competitions and performances had to be put on hold. To make matters worse, we weren’t able to offer our Dance Mini Sessions. These fun, dynamic sessions, which typically incorporated flour or rain to create a super unique look, were highly anticipated by many dancers. And while we are incredibly sad that we haven’t been able to offer them this year, we are keeping our fingers crossed that we’ll be able to resume these creative mini sessions later this Fall. In the meantime, check out our current offerings below!

Monochrome Dance Mini Sessions

We have created a new type of dance mini session so that dancers don’t have to miss out on another year of showcasing talent and capturing special moments. If you are a dancer, you won’t want to miss out!! Our Monochrome Mini Sessions will bring a little colour into your life. Simply choose 1 of 10 colours as your backdrop and pick your favourite outfit to match, and leave the photo magic up to us! These sessions are truly one of a kind.

What’s more? You can add a simple, artistic, and elegant look to your photos with our brand new, beautiful wings imported from Russia! Available in black or white, the wings are 100% sanitizable and therefore very Covid-safe. Find out more info about these sessions below!

Outdoor Creative Dance Private’s

We have also created our Outdoor Creative Dance Private Sessions, which can be fun, professional (yet affordable!) sessions to show off your dance skills or develop your portfolio. With over 25 years of experience and 10+ years focused on dancers of all ages, I will work with you to create a beautiful session, so that you will end up with a keepsake and memento to cherish forever. We photograph these creative dance sessions at a variety of local places like Crescent Beach or White Rock Beach in South Surrey which is great option for sunset dance photos.

As we navigate through this ever-changing Covid world, we must always be willing to adapt and pivot. However, that doesn’t mean that we have to give up on the things that we love! We would love to work with you to make sure you are still able to capture these special moments in your life.
