What better way to celebrate your baby’s first birthday while also capturing this important milestone than with a fun cake smash session!? This funky photography trend just keeps getting more and more popular each year! We wanted to take you through beautiful baby Aubree’s recent cake smash session – As you can see, she had a TON of fun!

In this session, Aubree’s mama allowed us the creativity to design her set, so we chose a neutral, bohemian theme and added just a splash of pink! With our custom created sets and specially crafted cakes by Leah’s Cake Creations, everything naturally came together beautifully. To help us create some boho flare, Little Local Wreaths created these stunning dried flower and pampas grass bouquets, which really tied the look together. We were so excited to work with Little Local Wreaths again after our amazing collaboration during our boho mini sessions last summer!

If your little one’s first birthday is coming up, this is an amazing way to capture a very special milestone. (If you’re a little unsure about your baby getting a bit messy, don't worry! We also offer a milestone birthday session which still includes a birthday set up and custom background, just without the cake!)

All of our sessions can be done in-studio, or on location. All packages also include the option of an exciting add-on: bathtub splash sessions! These are a fantastic way to clean up and end the shoot. You’ll also have a happy, clean baby to bring home!

One of the coolest things about my job is watching my clients' families grow. From a client's maternity photoshoot, to their newborn baby portraits, followed by 6 month and 1 year baby cake smash and milestones, I have the pleasure of capturing it all.These are some of life's most precious and intimate moments, and I am so thankful that I am invited to be a little part of so many wonderful women’s lives.
