A great grad photo doesn’t need a fancy location—but it does help when the backdrop feels just right. We’ve been doing this long enough that we know all of the perfect spots, whether your graduate wants something natural, elegant, or casual and relaxed. We’re lucky to live beautiful BC and South Surrey has some incredible spots that work beautifully for outdoor grad photo sessions. Here's a quick look at a few of our favourites:

Historic Stewart Farm is a quiet little gem tucked at the “end of the line” in South Surrey. It’s got this charming, old-timey feel with white fences, porches, and big leafy trees that change with the seasons. For grads in formalwear or classic cap and gown photos, it’s a great setting. It adds a timeless feel without being overdone, plus, there are so many different areas – the classic farmhouse porch, the dock with a great water backdrop, or tall grass and lupins if you venture a little further out.

People always ask about White Rock Beach first, but Crescent Beach is a favourite of ours! Not only is it quieter, there are a variety of areas that give different looks – some more in the open some more private. And the golden-hour light is perfect for the sunset grad photos. If your grad wants something a little more laid back but still stunning, this location is a win for an outdoor graduation photo session.

And of course, our South Surrey studio is always an option for indoor grad photos! Some grads just feel better with a little more privacy, a clean and quiet setup, or an indoor option that isn’t weather-dependent. We can still keep it fun, add an outfit change, and offer a more editorial or clean backdrop style. It’s a great fit for families who want a polished set of grad pictures without worrying about location logistics and ideal if you’re looking for a bit more control over the environment.
